Greg Mitchell – A fighter and a survivor

“My blood group is B+ and to ‘Be positive’ is how I am, that’s how I’ve always fought it”, says Greg describing his approach to life.

During his 70 years he’s had his fair share of success, including moving from Adelaide to Melbourne at 19 to join the elite aircraft industry as an engineer specialising in electronics. After 20 years in the airline industry he returned to university gaining a Bachelor of Education and two more post graduate qualifications.

Research into physical activity among children with disabilities

Can you help to build inclusive physical activity programs around Australia for all children? The National Disability Insurance Agency, in collaboration with Deakin University, invites parents/caregivers of children aged 4-17 with a disability and/or additional needs, as well as sporting coaches of mainstream and inclusive clubs, to complete an online survey about the benefits and barriers children experience when participating, or wanting to participate, in organised physical activity.

The 2017 Home Harvest FEASTival is less than a month away!
Would you like to help prepare and cook the meal for the Home Harvest FEASTival shared meal? If you or a friend has an interest in cooking then maybe you'd like to spend a few hours in the kitchen on Saturday 25 or Sunday 26 February with our caterers Michelle and Duang to help prepare the Feast. Everyone who volunteers gets a ticket so it's the perfect to be involved in the FEASTival if you don't have any produce to donate.
