We are extremely pleased to congratulate Anne Simpson, healthAbilty volunteer, on being awarded the Jagajaga Australia Community Day Award 2019. For over twenty years, the office of Jenny Macklin MP, local federal member for Jagajaga has hosted awards to recognise the outstanding contribution of citizens in our community. Anne has been a very dedicated volunteer with our Parkinson’s Support Group with assisting with the group’s communication and admin for 5 years.
“Anne’s dedication and assistance in coordinating the Parkinson Support group’s newsletter each month has been instrumental in helping the members of this group stay connected. Nothing is ever too much to ask and her assistance is invaluable,” said Sally Fyfe Manager Allied Health Services.
Our Parkinson’s Support Group meets monthly, is supervised by a qualified Occupational Therapist and provides education, support and information to those in the community who live with Parkinson’s disease, as well as their carers. If you or someone you care for would benefit from some additional support, please see our Parkinson’s Support Group web page.
Congratulations Anne from everyone on your outstanding achievement and valued contribution to our service and the community.
