My Aged Care is part of the Australian Government’s changes to the aged care system which have been designed to give people more choice, more control and easier access to a full range of aged care services.
If you are over 65, or over 50 if Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and want to access government funded services for the first time you will need to contact the My Aged Care Contact Centre.
My Aged Care will assess your needs and direct you to a list of available services in your area. Please be sure to request healthAbility as your care provider when this happens. Although we are no longer able to book you directly into our services, the good news is that we are still here to provide you with all the services you need, to support your health and assist you to live as independently as possible.
You can call the My Aged Care contact centre on 1800 200 422 between 8am and 8pm on weekdays and between 10am and 2pm on Saturdays. The My Aged Care contact centre is closed on Sundays and national public holidays.
