Eating Well with Diabetes
We offer a range of group sessions each year that cover various topics for people living with Diabetes. Session topics include; learning how to make great food choices when living with diabetes, and how to manage your overall health and wellbeing.

The CanEAT Pathway

Members of our dietetics team have been involved in piloting the use of interactive CanEAT pathway resources for people with cancer.

These resources and the pathway have been co-designed by people with cancer, carers and health professionals to ensure people with cancer get the best nutrition care, and to fill evidence-based gaps in cancer nutrition information. Children's Dietetics Service

Children and infants need adequate nutrition for their optimal growth and development. A lot of factors can affect their food intake. Our skilled and experienced Dietitian will work with your child and you to improve their nutrition intake.

Our dietitian can assist children with:

  • Slow growth
  • Feeding difficulties
  • Fussy eating
  • Sensory needs affecting feeding and food choices
  • Eating concerns including swallowing food and drink
  • Obesity

How can a dietitian help?

Our dietitian works with your child and your family to assess the nutritional status, growth and nutritional requirement of your child and provide tailored nutrition advice. They support your child and your family to manage any conditions, give advice on feeding, and encourage a positive mealtime environment. Our dietitian will also work with other health professionals to assist you in a family-centered approach.

Meet Carol Ho - Now accepting NDIS referrals

Carol is an accredited practicing dietitian and a member of Dietitians Australia. Carol obtained her dietetics qualification in Monash University, Melbourne and has more than 14 years of experience working as a dietitian in the community health setting. Carol has completed the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding therapy training. Carol can work with children and their carers to assess their nutritional status, growth and nutritional requirement and give tailored advice on nutrition and feeding. Carol can speak Cantonese, English and some Mandarin.

Chinese Healthy Eating Forum

Studies have indicated that Chinese people are at higher risk of developing diabetes and other chronic disease related to lifestyle.

Diabetes Victoria and healthAbility are working together to bring you a Chinese Healthy Eating Forum. In this forum our Dietitian can provide guidance on healthy eating to help you improve your health.
