It's been a busy week for Baby Makes 3 (BM3) with members of the team featuring at key events interstate and closer to home.

Respect Victoria report launch

On Friday 30 August, Respect Victoria launched a new report, 'Willing, capable and confident: men, masculinities and the prevention of violence against women', which examines how we can support men to engage more in actions to prevent gender-based violence.

The launch event featured an array of insightful experts and speakers, including healthAbility’s Sulo Colombage, Baby Makes 3 Diversity Lead, who joined the expert panel to discuss engaging men in prevention.

We congratulate Respect Victoria and partners on a wonderful event and for leaving participants with a sense of hope for engaging men in action to prevent gender-based violence.

BM3 at the National Maternal Child and Family Health Nurses Australia Conference

Over the weekend, Baby Makes 3 Antenatal and Postnatal Leads Julia and Emma presented at the National Maternal Child and Family Health Nurses Australia (MCaFHNA) Conference in Brisbane.

In all, it was a great opportunity for the team to learn from Maternal and Child Health experts from across the country and strengthen the way BM3 works with local government to support new parents and their children.
