Balit Booboop Narrkwarren recognised in Maggolee Awards 2024

Congratulations Aunty Deb, Uncle Shane and Uncle Lionel, our Elders leading Balit Booboop Narrkwarren (BBN) Training on Bunurong Country, for winning a Reconciliation Victoria Maggolee Award for 2024!
Based on healthAbility’s Baby Makes 3 initiative, Balit Booboop Narrkwarren is an Aboriginal led, co-designed approach supporting Aboriginal families, including children, and Elders to have respectful, culturally rich, strong and healthy relationships, and build stronger families.
Received in partnership with City of Greater Dandenong's New Directions Project, City of Casey, Frankston City Council, Nairm Marr Djambana, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, and Aboriginal staff from mainstream health services, the award recognises working in partnership with First Peoples on Bunurong Country to support self-determination, advance reconciliation, and strengthen shared decision making.
Baby Makes 3 acknowledges all BBN Champions and community on Bunurong Country for their participation in BBN training and sharing in localising the BBN toolbox resources.
