On Monday 2 September members of the healthAbility Child, Youth and Family team attended the official opening of the Nillumbik Youth Hub in Diamond Creek.

After many years of the local community wishing for a facility like this, there is finally a fun, safe and inclusive place for young people to gather, access programs and engage in services from local providers. The facility was co-designed and led by young people.

healthAbility is proud to be part of this new chapter, together with Nillumbik Shire Council. Members of our Reconnect, School Focused Youth Services team and Allied Health clinicians will be based at the Youth Hub to support young people holistically and work alongside other local service providers.

The space has two clinical rooms, a huge, well-equipped kitchen fit for barista coaching and life skills, laundry and shower facilities for those at risk of homelessness, state-of-the-art technology, games, food, computer access, and engaging, inclusive activities!
