Looking for a fun and relaxing way to spend these long summer days?
Join us for a day trip to the picturesque Mount Macedon region!
During this sightseeing adventure you will experience the breathtaking scenery of Mount Macedon, with stops along the way to explore its lush gardens and rich history.
There will also be an opportunity to view the famous Hanging Rock from a special and accessible vantage point, followed by a delicious picnic lunch.
This outing is organised by our Social Support Group team, but you don’t have to be an existing participant to join us. Everyone is welcome, and you may also bring along a friend, family member or carer (relevant fees and registration requirements apply to all participants).
Date: Wednesday 22 January
Time: Approximately 9am pick up and 4pm return. Pick up and drop off from healthAbility Eltham or Mullum Mullum Stadium, Donvale.
Cost: $70 for CHSP clients, $180 for HCP clients (charged to provider), $180 for self-funded participants
Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch are included.
Eligibility
CHSP and HCP participants must be registered with My Aged Care and have a Social Support Group referral code.
Participants should be in good mental and physical health to independently and fully participate in the group tour experience. The tour involves walking unassisted (e.g. more than 100 meters), free time, and climbing steep steps (e.g. on and off the tour coach, venue access, scenic walks) or other physical activities.
Terms and conditions
- Prospective passengers are responsible for considering the suitability of a tour based on their personal limitations prior to making a reservation.
- Participants will be contacted by one of our Social Support staff for a safety and suitability assessment and gain consent. If it is deemed unsafe or unsuitable, healthAbility reserves the right to decline participation.
- All passengers assume responsibility for following safety regulations and protocols, staff and driver instructions, and for displaying acceptable behaviour while travelling on this excursion.
- healthAbility reserves the right to refuse passage to anyone who, in our sole opinion, may adversely affect the health, safety, or enjoyment of other passengers on a tour, either prior to departure or during the tour.
- healthAbility and drivers are unable to provide personalised assistance; therefore, persons with specific needs should be accompanied by an individual who will take full responsibility to assist them during the tour and in the event of an emergency.
