Promoting gender equity through award-winning Baby Makes 3 initative
Gender equity is a key priority and a fundamental principle of our prevention efforts to optimise the health and wellbeing of our community.
A prime example of our work promoting gender equity is our award-winning Baby Makes 3 initiative.
Baby Makes 3 – VicHealth Award Winner 2022
Baby Makes 3 is an award-winning evidence-based education and social change initiative that promotes gender equality and respectful relationships to optimise mental health and wellbeing and reduce the prevalence of violence against women. It is a unique program that works to build equal and respectful relationships for first time parents and reduce gender inequality at the organisation and system level.
Baby Makes 3 works with organisations, local government and health services and challenges the social norms of being a parent through advocating for policy reform and workforce education.
