Official Launch - After Hours Mental Health Nursing Service
31 May 2022
On Friday 27 May, we celebrated the official launch of our After Hours Mental Health Nursing Service with the wonderful support of a range of local stakeholders, Members of Parliament, Council members, Board members and of course staff.
The evening saw our CEO, Agata Jarbin, welcome guests and officially kick off the celebrations, which included introducing our three Mental Health Nurses, Caroline, Vicki and Zac. We were honoured to have Whitehorse City Council Mayor Tina Liu speak, addressing how invaluable this service is to meeting the mental health needs of the community. We were also fortunate to hear of Glenn’s experience accessing the service and how it has supported him through his own mental health journey.
Our After Hours Mental Health Nursing Service, funded by Eastern Melbourne PHN, offers support for people experiencing mental health distress in the evening and on weekends, when mainstream services are not open. The service assists with reducing the pressure on Emergency Departments by offering an alternative. Thanks for coming along to celebrate and learn more about this important mental health service for people in our communities.
