Member for Eltham Vicki Ward announced that, if re-elected the Labor Government will commit $100,000 to support healthAbility's local services, to boost health care for people in our community by providing more of it closer to home. This funding would help our committed healthcare workers deliver the best treatment and care to clients in the community including physical therapy, social inclusion, mental health supports and more.

"We know enjoying good health is more than someone being physically healthy or without disease. It is about supporting the health and wellbeing of the whole person, within their family, work and social environments. It is about receiving health care at the right time and in the right place and supporting our health service in this way is good news for everyone," said Agata Jarbin - Chief Executive Officer.

Community Health plays an integral role in keeping people safe and well, filling the gaps in the healthcare system and providing personalised preventative and responsive care. It is about keeping these services in the community, and to do so we require long-term funding commitments.

"We've stood side-by-side with health services like healthAbility, to help them provide targeted local health care - and we'll continue to do so into the future", said Vicki Ward MP. We would like to sincerely thank Vicki and the Labor party for their long-term support.
