Our vision for reconciliation

In partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, we seek to understand and acknowledge injustices, support active expression of culture, apply culturally appropriate practice, and make a measurable difference in addressing health and social inequities and helping to improve health and social outcomes for and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

In 2023 we took the first step to achieving this vision through our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Over the past two years we have committed to building relationships and trust with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and deepening our understanding of First Nations histories and cultures – building a strong foundation for reconciliation.

With our Reflect RAP complete, healthAbility is currently in the process of developing our Innovate RAP with the support of Reconciliation Australia. We look forward to sharing this new vision with our community later in 2025.
