With over 20 years’ experience in innovation and growth for organisations across the UK and Australia, including working with executives and boards in government agencies, not-for-profits and for-purpose businesses, Melanie brings outstanding entrepreneurship to healthAbility. Her experience includes designing and executing business strategy, extensive stakeholder management and advocacy, creating sustainable operating models, and developing new products and services to achieve growth.
Her most recent role before healthAbility was as a Director at Nous Group where she led various projects across health and human services such as a new strategy for a youth social services organisation to establish new revenue streams and led the design of a research-based practical culture and wellbeing model for health care services across Australia and New Zealand. Having worked for Serco UK and in Serco Asia Pacific as General Manager, Service Design and Advisory Group, Melanie has also been responsible for the successful tendering and design of large government outsourced services.
Melanie possesses a Graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology and Bachelor of Arts Major in Psychology, Minor in Sociology from Monash University. She is passionate about working collaboratively with others to achieve outcomes that improve the quality of how people and communities live.
Outside of work, Melanie is the Deputy Chair of Life Again, a start-up preventative mental health provider and volunteers as a Mentor at Fitted for Work, a social enterprise that helps Australian women experiencing disadvantage attain, retain, and thrive at work.
