Off the back of the recent Victorian Healthcare 'Partnering in healthcare' Award win for iCanEAT, Rebecca McIntosh - Senior Dietitian and Project Manager – Cancer Survivorship went to the COSA (Clinical Oncology Society of Australia) Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) held in Brisbane earlier this month. There she presented a conference poster about the Good Life - Cancer Survivorship (GL-CS) program.
Dr Kheng Soo - Eastern Health Medical Oncologist also presented on an onco-geriatric clinic which he has recently commenced at Eastern Health and gave a great ‘shout out’ to community health and linking in with allied health in this space for holistic survivorship care. His Eastern Health clinic is currently generating referrals to GL-CS. There was interest in continuing this work from partnering agencies.
The theme for the 2022 COSA ASM was Equitable cancer care for all: Gender, identity, culture, geography, and disease should not matter. We want to thank the COSA team for hosting such a fabulous event.
Our Good Life-Cancer Survivorship: Provider forum is a program for effective self-management in cancer within a community health setting. Find out more here.
