Seeing a dental professional regularly and taking proper care of your teeth is the best way to maintain good oral health and detect early any future problems.
We offer a range of preventative dental care services at our Box Hill clinic including:
- Fissure sealants
- Mouth guards
- Scale and clean
FAQ's
Fissure sealants are thin coatings placed over the pits and fissures at back teeth to create a protective layer. Fissure sealants prevents food from getting into the tiny grooves in the teeth and reduces the risk of tooth decay.
Dental injuries are among the most common facial injuries sustained through participating in contact sports. Mouth guards support an entire mouth, and also help prevent concussions and types of incidents of unconsciousness.
All healthAbility mouthguards are custom made to suit the wearer.
A scale and clean involves the removal of plaque and calculus, followed by a clean and polish to leave teeth smooth and help prevent bacteria sticking.
The process involves:
An electric scaler to remove the tough plaque build up
Jets of water to effectively flush out debris lodged between the teeth
Hand instruments to reach any hard to access surfaces
Polishing the tooth
